This tour started when we were invited to perform at the Alliance Française Music & Culinary Festival, on Friday 20th March 2026, held in Victoria, Mahé Island, capital of The Seychelles. We added a concert at the amazing DEL PLACE Beach Bar on Friday 13th March. An amazing location with the most delicious food and beverages, thanks to the hospitality of Mr Deplace. Finally, as our stay in Seychelles coincided with the 58th anniversary of Mauritius, we were asked to perform at the only live music venue in Victoria. Moloko Restaurant is a place like no other, thanks to owner Mathew, a Mauritian Chef who has been in the Seychelles for 25 years.
Two luxury resort gigs were added to the mix, thanks to the support of Canopy by Hilton and Carana Beach Resort. All 5 concerts were made possible thanks to the support of the leading Jazz Band in the Seychelles : Fab Jazz. Micky Anthony on keys, Aaron Jean on drums and Derek Louise on bass were great hosts and we are eternally grateful for the joy and fun we had in Mahé. During the 4 days of rehearsals and 5 concerts… in 10 days.
This trip was made ever so special also, as we reunited with Michael Adams (MBE), the most inspirational painter from the Seychelles, whom we used to welcome, with his family, at Le Saint Géran in Mauritius each year, in the late 80ies. The Moloko concert was also a glorious evening during which the Seychellois Sega Superstar – Jean-Marc Volcy – came to see us sing. What an honour ! And talking of Seychellois music, this tour made us discover the superb music of Aaron Jean (CD) and coincided with the release of a Vinyl Compilation of Music from the Seychelles by leading singers – KREOL SESEL SA (LP). And to our ultimate surprise, one singer and choir conductor on this record, is called “Raymond Clarisse”… We had a blast ! We love Seychelles and can’t wait to return…
