The Clarisse Sisters

DOUBLE CONCERT with Nicolas TARIK

On this Saturday 10th September, we wanted to celebrate summer a few days after the Rio Olympic Games, with more sounds of Bossa Nova & Samba.

We had planned to open the night at 8PM with the Nicolas TARIK trio, with Christophe ARLES on guitars and Dany AUKHAJ on tablas. Enter the enchatned world of this young French singer-composer, inspired by Mauritius, whose lyrics you will relish with their clever and funny rhymes.

Then at 9PM we wanted to present to you our new songs and previously unheard new arrangements of extracts from KALEIDOSCOPE! A night under the stars, in the amphitheatre of this beautiful domain in Black River. You could have started the evening at the VANILLA HOUSE restaurant (Vanilla Bean).

The final plan was to share the stage with Nicolas TARIK and his musicians for the Finale… Several surprises were in store for an encore to be remembered!

To end the night in style, DJ CREAM CRACKER had prepared an Electro Samba Set until midnight or more. A bar and snacks was also on offer all night!

UNFORTUNATELY, we were informed on the previous Saturday that, Chris ARLES, our friend and guitar player for the night had been admitted to hospitals. As he was still in the intensive care unit on Wednesday 7th September, we were forced, alas, to CANCEL THE CONCERT. He has since left hospital and feels much better. We have planned to reschedule this DOUBLE CONCERT in October. In memory of this very emotional roller-coaster week, we want to pay tribute to him. Consult his site: http://mauritius-blues-society.com and especially his forthcoming project LAM KREOL
