Saturday 14th March 2026. Two days after “Independance Day” in Mauritius, we celebrated in Victoria, Mahé, with Mauritian residents, Seychellois music lovers and exaptriates in Seychelles. This was a unique concert for TCS, as our set list consisted of 10 Creole Songs, a Sega Show which we had never done before… The night was made very special by Mathew AH CHAN, MOLOKO Restaurant, Bar & Live Music Venue owner, who had prepared a delicious buffet, making us feel at home.
The evening will also remain one of artistic encounters, as Jean-Marc Voulcy, the Seychellois star singer, came to see us and was very interested in our sega-jazz rendition of “Papitou”, as well as the deeper message found in “Tombé Levé”. A night we will always remember as a meeting of soul and hearts between two historically connected islands : Mauritius and Seychelles.
